Black Mom Beats Diabetes, High Blood Pressure & Shares Secrets In Saint Maarten 'Getaway'

| Super User | Balance

Jacqueline Glass, 59, of Harlem, New York City, started her path to transforming health after receiving an early diagnosis of high blood pressure and diabetes.

She was able to alter her course and reverse her diabetes with diet and exercise, stop using all prescription drugs, and ultimately save her own life.

As a result, Jacqueline, an ordained pastor, decided to share her experience in hopes of motivating others to choose a better lifestyle. Numerous women seeking direction and a way forward to enhance their mental, emotional, and physical well-being attended Jacqueline's first health and wellness conferences and symposiums.

For more than 13 years, Jacqueline has been the founder of At the Well Conferences, Inc. She has organized conferences and leadership academies specifically for women and girls of color that have transformed their lives.

The well-known At the Well Young Women's Leadership Academy, a potent summer enrichment program for remarkable black teen girls at the esteemed Princeton University, was one of her earliest and most successful undertakings for more than 11 years. For girls and women, the academy built a separate space that provided them with the resources they needed to enhance their lives. The Leadership Academy moved online to provide a safe haven for young women and girls during the pandemic to ensure that they could access it when they most needed it. Jacqueline continued her enthusiasm for health and wellbeing after 34 years of service with the New York State Supreme Court, making sure that women had the essential resources they needed to have fulfilling lives.

The rigorous retreats that started in New Jersey have subsequently evolved into lovely Saint Maarten. Jacqueline organized the first The Girlfriend Getaway: Sistahs at the Well in 2021. Women from all around the nation met for five days of healing and wellness in a tropical paradise environment the previous year. In order to improve total health and wellness, this small gathering concentrated on developing nutrition, meditation, fitness, emotional treatment, and forming a safe sister community. Numerous well-known public figures, opinion leaders, and professionals from across the nation attended the occasion, including DJ Spinderella, Patrick and Nicole Kodjoe, Cheryl Woods, Brandi Harvey, Karli Harvey Raymond, the event's host, and many others.

The Girlfriend Getaway: Sistahs at the Well will return this year and promises to be even better than before with engaging programs you won't want to miss. Greater results for Black women and girls will result from it!

They will once again visit the lovely island of Saint Maarten from Saturday, October 8 through Wednesday, October 12, 2022, staying at the all-inclusive, five-star Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Casino & Spa. A dream team of nutritionists, fitness and wellness professionals, devoted doctors, psychologists, and speakers will provide life-altering health and wellness programs at this exciting event.

Relationship coaching, discussions about physical and emotional wellness, financial coaching, personal fitness profiles, tailored workouts, spa treatments, massages, meditation, yoga, an island tour, and the renowned All-White Party with a special guest DJ are among the activities that will be offered. This year's lineup includes Chef Babette, Brandi Harvey, Karli Harvey Raymond, Dr. Barbara Joy Bryant, Dr. Alduan Tartt, Mecca Moore Tartt, a wellness expert, Romy Toussaint, a yoga instructor, Norman Leslie, a financial advisor, Danny Crawford, Patrick Kodjoe, Nicole Kodjoe, an expert in breathwork, and many other notable, soon-to-be-announced featured speakers and special guests.
